North Carolina Adventures
This week I am traveling with my family to our cabin house in Murphy, North Carolina. We have had the house for fifteen years where we have started our annual thanksgiving traditions and some of the best summer vacations. The drive takes around nine hours, which is great for families when it comes to bonding and being able to catch up on their busy lives. Unlike my Tampa, Murphy is small and secluded bringing me to a deep relaxation when up in the mountains. You will meet the nicest people in this town, visiting the most unique stores that have been around for years.
I love exploring the mountains and riverbeds. A strong value of mine is to keep our world clean, so whenever I see trash covering nature I pick it up to properly it throw away. One of our favorite hiking grounds is the Ocoee River, where there is also white water rafting and great swimming in the water holes. These days are full of sun, so my Ranch Bucket hat, sunscreen, snacks, and water are necessities. You may encounter black bears, deer, jack rabbits, and many cool insects.
Lake days are the best days on the Hiwassee lake, for the boat and jet skis. We bring out all our dogs who love to swim, and we do some intense tubing with family friends. There are different coves to anchor your boat in, with barely anyone else on the lake to enjoy peaceful serenity. If you look amongst the trees you may find a swing rope to try out, or a waterfall deep into a cove.
There are many other activities available, such as horseback riding, zip lining, four wheeling, and visiting other cities. I am so excited for this active vacation, so I am off!
